The Shire of Mountain Edge welcomes all to our 8th Defenders Tourney!
Our new site is close to Hwy 18 in McMinnville with ample off-street parking just steps from the great hall. Heavy and youth armored combat is on the lawn (visible from the great hall), rapier combat is INSIDE. The huge hall has an A&S display area, many tables for merchants and visiting/watching the tourneys, a Family Activities area, restrooms (ADA compliant) with changing spaces, and a large kitchen. The site is ADA accessible. Family Activities plans another quest/treasure hunt on the park trail east of the armory (shared with the general public). This was great fun at our October St. Crispin’s Day at this site and is being repeated by populace request.
Site fee includes beverages and snacks, a light lunch of soups, cheese, and bread, and a selection of desserts served just prior to closing moot/Defender investiture.
Come and vie to be our next Heavy or Youth Armored Combat or Rapier or Arts and Sciences Defender! Not competing? Come to honor our current and future defenders and to enjoy the company of friends old and new. Bring a project, enjoy the bardic and A&S displays, take the quest on the trail and find the treasure…. Mountain Edge is a fun and friendly Shire and all are welcome. Gold Key available.
